Swingability How fast the barrel gets through the zone. Higher means a lighter, quicker swing.

DR100 Youth Baseball Bat Stats:

Barrel The diameter of the barrel at its widest point. A bigger barrel means a bigger hitting surface and more mass out front. 2.48"
Handle The diameter of the handle. A thinner handle whips through faster; a thicker one dampens sting and feels more stable. 0.93"
Knob The shape at the bottom of the bat. It sets how the bat sits in your bottom hand and how much it resists slipping. Traditional
Weight The finished weight of this model, as turned. Wood is a natural material, so expect small variation bat to bat. Drop 5
Swing feel How the weight is distributed along the bat — balanced through end-loaded — which is what you actually feel in the swing. Precision

About this bat

THE DETAILS

About The DR100 Wood Bat:

The DR series of wood baseball bats are perfect for the transition of a young player moving from a youth bat to a bat with a full-size barrel.

Normally, at age 12–13, a hitter outgrows their K455, K240, or K271 wood youth bat. This is a result of physical size, league requirements and/or the speed of pitching now faced. Stick with a youth bat and the chance of breaking the wood bat increases greatly. Go to a high-school weight bat too soon and your young hitter starts picking up bad habits (like dropping the shoulder and dragging the bat through the strike zone).

Enter the DR100 to save the day! It features a full-size barrel, of same diameter as our pro series BB71 and JK5 wood bats. This gets the hitter used to swinging a bigger barrel wood bat like they will have to swing no later than high school age. It is designed specifically as a transition bat and made from the same quality wood we use for all our pro series wood bats.

All Phoenix Bats youth wood bats meet or exceed USABat and Little League standards.
