About The FP3 Women's Wood Softball Bat:

The SB3 has been our most popular wood softball bat for all softball players. The FP3 wood softball bat is the same wood bat in every way, but is offered in additional lengths that make it an equally great choice for the female softball player. For use in practice with her fast pitch team (high school on up), it helps develop plate discipline and helps strengthen muscles. For slow pitch softball wood bat leagues, the FP3 softball bat is an excellent choice for everyone on the team to use during games.

The design of the FP3 is most similar in style to a metal or composite bat, with a fairly straight, long, thin handle transitioning in to a very well defined knob to fully rest your bottom hand on. It has a slightly end weighted barrel, similar to the typical female's softball bat.

Tape up your handle so you can't feel the knob? Check out the FP7 wood softball bat. It has a flared transition from handle to knob. This is really the only difference between the FP3 and the FP7 models. Looking for a handle and knob more like a modern wood bat (slight flare at handle end with a knob that will still catch most of your bottom hand)? Check out the FP41 wood softball bat.

All Phoenix Bats wood softball bats meet ASA standards for wood softball bats (see Rule 3), with a max 2-1/4” barrel diameter. To keep the umpire happy, we mark them with “Official Softball” and "ASA Compliant".

Typical user:

  • 12 year old to adult female
  • Used to feel of a metal bat knob & handle
